I can’t recommend investing in professional photography strongly enough, the perfect choice of imagery to create that critical positive first impression is essential to convey your message and brand story online. We emotionally connect with photographs subconsciously before we even read a word of text, your images should be the very best you can afford. Your media represents you and your brand, using professional photography instantly raises the perception of quality and websites with professional photography receive up to 90% more traffic than websites without. My strong recommendation is to prioritise professional photography to match with a professionally designed website to achieve maximum results.
Finding the right photographer isn’t always easy, fortunately I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside the talented Suzanne Fells for over 10 years. Should you choose to add professional photography to your website package we collaborate closely together to deliver an integrated approach to what is needed to capture and convey your business personality and strengthen your unique brand. What is Squarespace and what are the costs?
Squarespace is an all-in-one content management system, or CMS. With a single subscription, you can create a website, host your content, register your own custom domain name, sell products, track your site’s analytics, and much more. Squarespace was designed with the do-it-yourself user in mind, making it easy to maintain, update, and monitor your websites on your own.
With a tightly curated library of templates to work with, Squarespace templates are there to act as a jumping-off / starting point and I apply my know-how and website design skills to transform your specific requirements and content into a distinctly and beautifully branded website.
The result being you get the best of both worlds, a bespoke and beautiful website that you can very easily amend, manage and monitor yourself.
Squarespace Costs :
Most clients need the Business Plan or Basic Commerce Plan and you may change or cancel your plan at any time. All plans come with award-winning 24/7 customer support, free custom domain, SSL security and unlimited bandwidth and storage.

Do you still build WordPress websites?
No. After many years working with WordPress I am no longer building new WordPress websites. Squarespace offers so many advantages for clients to easily update and maintain their own websites once built and it really is a dream to work with!
What do I need to do before you start building my website?
A week before the agreed build start date you will need to provide all of your images and text content so please allow plenty time for you to gather this all together when booking your start date.
It can sometimes be daunting deciding what content you need and how to structure your content and pages etc but fear not! Part of the pre-build process will be the completion of multiple questionnaires to dive down into the nitty gritty detail of your new website and what it needs to do to deliver your online goals. Analysing these and supporting you through the process I provide content and marketing message reviews and guidance as needed.
Note: Should you also want copywriting services this will be arranged prior to the build start date.
When can you start my project?
As a general rule there is normally around a 6 to 8 week wait list for website build project slots so get in touch as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Preparations to build will commence before the build start date though and the lead time can be a great chance for you to gather your content.
What do you mean by bespoke / custom Squarespace website design'?
Squarespace has a tightly curated library of templates to work with and these templates are there to act as a jumping-off / starting point. Using my skills and many years of experience I carefully craft the perfect layout and structure to suit your unique brand, content and requirements to create a website that is distinctly and beautifully branded, but maintains a familiar user experience.
I believe you should be able to easily edit and amend your own website yourself and so keep my edits to adding custom CSS to alter the styling of the template rather than making code changes that you do not have access to, can't remove or that may need to be maintained by myself or a third party. This keeps things simple and uncomplicated and within your control and understanding.

Mostly likely yes! Drop me a line via the website design enquiry form below selecting the package(s) closest to what you think might need and 'Custom / Other' and fill in as many of the other fields that you can and we can take it from there.
How does booking & payment work?
Your project is considered booked in my design calendar when a build start date is agreed and a 33% initial payment is paid. The second payment of 33% is due a week before the build start date and the remaining 33% balance will be due when I have completed my work on the site. Ownership of your lovely new Squarespace website will not be transferred over to you until the final payment has been made.
There is no VAT to pay on my services as I am not VAT registered.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes no problem, if your website project is booked well in advance we can agree a longer payment plan to spread out the cost further. Please note however that an initial amount of 33% is still required to reserve your place in my design calendar and all payments must be completed before ownership of your new Squarespace website is transferred over to you.
I don't have a logo or brand colours can you help?
Yes happy to help! I can connect you to some fantastic graphic and brand designers - getting clear on your brand and your branding designed prior to your website build would be the recommended best practice.
Can you help move content from my existing website over to Squarespace?

Included with all website design packages you will receive one-to-one training via Zoom and a recording of the training session for you to refer to afterwards. Plus a minimum of 1 hour free post launch email support while you get settled with your lovely new website and Squarespace. See each package for it's specific details.
One of the key reasons why I choose to work with Squarespace is it's so so easy for you to make changes and manage your own website yourself. With Squarespace's extensive documentation, help guides and forum plus their award-winning 24 / 7 support you will have a wealth of information and help available to you anytime you need it.
Additional support services are available should you need a little assistance or would like me to make any further amendments for you after your website has launched.
